Km 85 Cipularang Toll Accident Involves 10 Vehicles, No Casualties

A total of ten vehicles were involved in consecutive accidents on Km 85 of the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta located in the Purwakarta Regency, West Java, on Wednesday, July 10 afternoon.

Based on a written statement via Antara, Wednesday, July 10, Senior Manager of Representative Office 3 Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division Plaza Tol Pasteur, Agni Mayvinna said that his party immediately evacuated victims and normalized traffic so that it would remain smooth after the incident.

He said the police and Jasamarga Tollroad Operators (JMTO) were already in the location and made efforts to handle the process of evacuating victims and normalizing traffic so that they could be immediately crossed.

The accident allegedly came from one of the Primajasa bus vehicles heading for Garut-Lebak Bulus police number B 7198 ZX which was traveling from Bandung to Jakarta.

Then, at the scene of the incident, the bus driver allegedly did not anticipate the slowdown on the downhill and cornering roads. So it hit another vehicle in front of it.

He said ten vehicles were involved in the successive accident.

There were no fatalities in the incident. However, a number of passengers in the vehicle involved in the accident were injured. They were then taken to Abdul Rokak Sadang Hospital.

Jasa Marga apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this incident, and urges road users to remain careful and obey the existing signs.
