Resident Of Kampung Sawah Cakung Admits He Doesn't Have RT And RW: "Pay Tax Confused, Is It Good To Be An Dark Citizen? Shame"

Thousands of residents of Sawah Village, Jalan Komarudin, Pulogebang Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta stormed the Cakung District office on Wednesday, July 10, afternoon. Residents demanded the formation of RT and RW in their area.

The residents' actions took place since 12.00 WIB. Residents came with a number of posters and banners with various writing demands from their actions.

"I haven't had RT and RW for 25 years, so it's dark. Is it good to be a dark resident? Sick, embarrassed," said Nurhasanah (39) to VOI at the demonstration site.

The mass action of thousands of residents consisted of men, women as well as children. They said that this action was purely initiated by all residents of Sawah Indah village, without any coercion.

"I want to pay taxes, I want to pay PAM but it's hard to go where? I want to make difficult data, I have a lot of children. That's why I want to have an RT RW," he said.

This demonstration then continued on blocking the Bekasi Highway from the direction of Bekasi to Pulogadung. Road blocking causes long traffic jams of up to 5 km.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the residents of Sawah Indah village, Raja Simanjuntak, said that his party and residents brought a letter of application from the WKSI management (Warga Kampung Sawah Indah) to immediately form an RT RW which would be given to the Cakung sub-district head.

"We also brought attachments to the number of families and souls living there. The submission for the formation of RT RW has been around for a long time, it has been 13 years (but has not been realized)," he said at the location.

The king was also surprised by the difficulty of forming RT and RW at the location. The reason is, the request has been submitted since 13 years ago.

"It has been repeatedly submitted like that, what is the difficulty of granting it. We asked the sub-district head on June 27 last month if it was not willing or there was another reason not to grant the formation of RT RW, please make a letter so that we have legal remedies," he said.
