DKI Jakarta KPU Claims No Officers Use Joki Coklit Data For Pilkada 2024 Voters

JAKARTA - The Head of the Technical Division of the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU), Dody Wijaya, claims that no voter data updating officer (panterih) was caught using a jockey to carry out its duties in matching and research (coklit) the 2024 Pilkada voter data.

The previous jockey case was found by the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) in a number of areas, namely East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, and Banjarmasin City, East Kalimantan.

"We ensure that Jakarta does not happen (coklit jockeys) because we are monitored by election supervisors closely," Dody told reporters, Wednesday, July 10.

Dody emphasized that pantarih should have known that the task of extracting voter data cannot be delegated to other people. Because only those who have the authority to ensure that residents are registered in voters in the election.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has inaugurated 29,315 voter data updating officers (panterlih) on Monday, June 26, simultaneously in 267 urban villages. The tarrid is spread across 14,775 polling stations throughout DKI Jakarta.

From June 26 to July 24, 2024, panteranglih was deployed to the field to match and research (coklit) data 8,315,669 voters in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada.

They will go directly from house to house to validate by checking their electronic ktp, ensuring that all Jakarta residents who have met the requirements are on the voter list, and cross out those who do not meet the requirements for the upcoming regional elections.

Head of the DKI Jakarta KPU Data and Information Division, Fahmi Ziryptah, emphasized that the omnilit process is a very crucial and important stage because the implications of updating the data will be the basis for determining logistics needs for regional elections.

"The number of ballots to be printed, the number of polling stations to be established, including the number of KPPS to be on duty, is very dependent on the results of updating voter data which we will later set into a permanent voter list (DPT)," said Fahmi.
