Reveals 500 Grams Of Methamphetamine From Makassar, Jayapura Police Calls Drug Delivery Mode Now Via The Sea

JAKARTA - The Jayapura City Police revealed the mode used by the dealers in sending methamphetamine to their area, now many use ships.

"The network of methamphetamine dealers has changed the mode of delivery that no longer uses goods delivery services, but also through ships, as well as 400 grams of crystal methamphetamine that was successfully secured by members," said Jayapura City Police Chief Kombes Victor Mackbon in Jayapura, Tuesday, July 9, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, currently his party is continuing to explore the methamphetamine supplied from Makassar using a ship, which weighs 500 grams worth IDR 5 billion.

"Of the 500 grams sent from Makassar, 400 grams have been secured from the two suspects, namely FA and FP who are currently being held at the Jayapura City Police detention center," he said.

From the suspect's confession, the methamphetamine drug was supplied by one of the inmates who was serving his sentence at the Makassar Narcotics Prison.

"We will work with the Makassar Police to uncover a network of methamphetamine drug dealers," said the Police Chief.

Kombes Mackbon admitted that the methamphetamine was successfully confiscated after members conducted an investigation for six months so that in the future it is hoped that the participation of the community will help by informing if there are residents who use or know the illicit goods.

"The role and society is very much needed because methamphetamine is very dangerous for the younger generation in Papua," he said.
