PT KAI Employee Undergoes Mental Test For Claiming Not To Regret Killing His Wife

JAKARTA - Psychological examination of Andika Ahid Widianto alias AAW (26), an employee of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) was carried out by investigators from the East Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit to ascertain the suspect's condition.

"Because in our opinion at the time of the arrest, detention and examination, the suspect did not show any remorse for his actions," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, July 9.

Investigators from the PPA Unit conducted a psychological test on the suspect Andika to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital because he had received a confession that the suspect did not regret his actions, even though the victim RNA (27) was his legal wife.

Moreover, the suspect's cruelty when he committed the murder of his wife was preceded by the practice of having sex between the suspect and the victim.

Even during interrogation by the police, the suspect admitted that he did not regret his actions after desperate to kill his wife.

"When arrested, the suspect did not show any remorse. That is the basis for us to do a test on a Psychiatricum expert at the Police Hospital, to carry out a psychological examination of the suspect," he said.

For his actions, the suspect Andika Ahid Widianto was charged with multiple articles.

"The articles that were violated were Article 44 paragraph 3, of the PKDRT Law and Article 338 of the Criminal Code. The maximum penalty is 15 years in prison for the suspect," he said.
