JAKARTA - The case of confinement and abuse by a group of people against a young man with the initials MRR (23) in a cafe in the Duren Sawit area, allegedly carried out by perpetrators who are active in certain organizations.

"There is a mention of a certain organization, but it's not good if we mention it here. Maybe they feel safe because there is a 'back' like that. Is it from the government or organization itself," said Muhamad Normansyah, as the attorney for the victim of MRR when confirmed, Monday, July 8.

Normansyah explained, in the case of torture experienced by victims of MRR, there were up to 30 perpetrators. They among them know each other with the victim.

"These 30 people are actually friends of all of them and have no relationship at all in the business sale and purchase case between HRA and MRR victims. There is no relationship at all," he said.

He continued, MRR was tortured not every day. However, the victim of MRR while being held captive, sleeping handcuffed and his feet tied naked.

"It lasted for approximately 3 months. From these 15 to 30 people, it is suspected that (the perpetrators) had 'backing' or strong people," he said.

He also hopes that the Duren Sawit Police can immediately process the case and the perpetrators will be arrested soon.

"We hope that this process can run, all the perpetrators can be arrested. Please enforce the law as fairly as possible. Don't let this time pass just because this person is in power, the law loses again," he regretted.

Previously, it was reported that the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police was still investigating the case of confinement and torture experienced by the victim with the initials MRR (23) at a cafe on Jalan Pendidikan Raya, RT 03/14, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

Investigators from the Duren Sawit Police have examined 4 witnesses related to the confinement and abuse incident.

"Currently investigators are conducting a maximum investigation. Until now, the progress of the investigation is that we have examined four witnesses, we are asking for information," said Duren Sawit Police Chief, AKP Sutikno accompanied by the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Kasno to reporters, Sunday, July 7.

The four witnesses came from the victim's family and the witness at the crime scene (TKP). The police conducted examinations from both parties.
