JAKARTA - The City Government (Pemkot) of Central Jakarta (Jakpus) has increased the socialization of the community and State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the area regarding the dangers of online gambling. "We can continue to mobilize, provide socialization to citizens to leave gambling behavior, be it direct gambling or online gambling," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma, Friday, July 5. According to Dhany, online gambling will only make it difficult and suffering for the public or ASN.

Dhany ensured that ASN involved in online gambling would be identified because their identity was stored in the government's system. If the ASN is indicated to be playing online gambling, his party will first make evidence.

"Because it is online, it will be identified later, it will definitely be identified who the perpetrator is. Therefore, when it is identified, we will try to match it with personnel data," said Dhany. Then, if ASN is proven, it will be immediately processed according to the code of ethics regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline. "Later, the escalation will be seen, from the side of this violation, whether it is categorized as light, medium or heavy. Only later will there be sanctions and recordings," said Dhany.
