Sandiaga's Lyrics Already, PKB Confirms It Will Not Support Ridwan Kamil If He Advances For West Java Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid emphasized that his party would not support Ridwan Kamil (RK) if he later ran as a candidate for Governor of West Java in the 2024 Pilkada.

PKB, said Jazilul, felt that it was enough to carry Ridwan Kamil, who at that time was paired with the Ruzhanul Ulum Law in the 2018 West Java (Jabar) Pilgub with PPP, NasDem, and Hanura.

"It seems that PKB does not support Pak RK in West Java. It was enough that PKB yesterday supported Pak RK," said Jazilul at the PKB DPP office, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 4.

Moreover, now PKB has looked at Sandiaga Uno to be carried in this year's West Java gubernatorial election. Jazilul hopes that the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy will be willing to be carried by PKB.

"Hopefully Pak Sandi wants it. With whom the deputy is, we will look for it from the existing party. It looks like PKB does not support Pak RK," said Jazilul.

In addition to waiting for Sandiaga's willingness, PKB will also conduct a survey to find out the electability level of the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta in West Java.

Furthermore, PKB will establish communication with other political parties to build a supporting coalition. PKB also asked the PPP cadres to open a communication space with other political parties.

"Later, in the second stage, sit down, there are coalition parties that Mr. Sandi will convey his thoughts there, his understanding there. However, today for PKB, Pak Sandi's name deserves to be offered to the people of West Java," he explained.

Previously, Jazilul Jazilul revealed that Sandiaga was suitable for being a leader in West Java. Among them, Sandiaga has sufficient popularity and his mother, Mien Rachman Uno, was also born in the province.

"West Java is also a dynamic province, its young people are creative, who need more people like Pak Sandi who are quite agile," said Jazilul.

Meanwhile, PKB previously revealed that two of its party cadres were included in the 2024 West Java Pilkada exchange, namely the Head of the Legal and Legislation Division of the PKB DPP, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal and the Chairman of the West Java PKB DPW Syaiful Huda.

PKB has also instructed Cucun and Huda to compete to increase electability ahead of the regional elections. However, now PKB is looking more at Sandiaga to be promoted by his party.
