Bobby's Supporting Political Parties Are More Reasons For PKB Not Choosing Edy Rahmayadi To Be The Governor Of North Sumatra

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid revealed the reason his party preferred to carry Bobby Nasution as a candidate for Governor of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) rather than Edy Rahmayadi.

Bobby and Edy had previously registered and participated in the selection to PKB to get a suspension recommendation. However, PKB sees the number of political parties (political parties) that will carry Bobby more.

"The indication is the strong support from political parties. There are 7 political parties that have seats and the rest are non-parliamentary parties who support them. More than 10 political parties in my opinion," said Jazilul at the PKB DPP office, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 4.

With so many supporting political parties, Jazilul believes Bobby's chances of winning the North Sumatra gubernatorial election can be even greater, even though Edy will be competing who is the incumbent.

"This indicates that the strength built by Mas Bobby to embrace all of these parties I am sure will be the way to victory, this is roughly the case. So in PKB, I decided to give mas Bobby a decree to continue to fight to become a candidate for Governor of North Sumatra," explained Jazilul.

Today, PKB officially submitted a recommendation for the investigation to Bobby Nasution to become a candidate for Governor of North Sumatra in the 2024 Pilkada. This recommendation (SK) decree was given directly to the Mayor of Medan.

"In the decree, he gave a decision and appointed Mas Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution as a candidate for Governor of North Sumatra," said Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid at the PKB DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 7.

Jazilul said that Bobby had now pocketed recommendations for the eviction of 7 parties. Several parties had previously announced that they would carry President Joko Widodo's son-in-law in the North Sumatra gubernatorial election.

"There are PKB, Golkar, Gerindra, NasDem, PAN, Democrats, PPP. So, a lot. That means, this is a big coalition, if we call it, it is a super coalition that implies, showing that the light of victory is in Mas Bobby," said Jazilul.

PKB also proposed the name of celebrity Nagita Slavina to be Bobby's deputy governor candidate.

"I conveyed to Mas Bobby, indeed this is the era of social media, we propose that Mbak Nagita Slavina be accompanying him," he added.

Previously, two North Sumatra gubernatorial candidates had conducted a fit and proper test (UKK) at PKB, namely former North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi and Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution. Until finally, PKB decided to carry Bobby.
