JAKARTA - The Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) has imposed permanent dismissal sanctions for the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari regarding cases of alleged immorality.
"Imposing a permanent dismissal sanction to the defendant Hasyim Asy'ari as chairman and concurrently member of the Indonesian General Elections Commission, this decision is read out," said DKPP Chairman Heddy Lugito in a hearing reading the verdict reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 3.
In addition, the DKPP granted the complainant's complaint entirely, and asked President Joko Widodo to replace Hasyim within 7 days of the verdict being read.
"The president of the Republic of Indonesia to carry out this decision no later than seven days after the verdict is read," he said.
Finally, the DKPP asked the Indonesian General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) to oversee the implementation of the decision.
