Becoming A Murder Suspect, Andika Turns Out To Have A Trace Record Of Domestic Violence Cases In Previous Marriages

JAKARTA - The murder victim named Rizki Nur Arifahmawati (27) turned out to be the second wife of the suspect Andika Ahid Widianto (26), a permanent employee of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI).

The results of the examination by investigators from the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim), suspect Andika is known to have previously married his first wife and led to divorce due to cases of Domestic Violence (KDRT).

"The suspect has been married twice. The first wife divorced because of the domestic violence case. We will examine the suspect psychologically with experts," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly accompanied by Deputy Chief of Police AKBP Burhanuddin to reporters, Tuesday, July 2.

Meanwhile, regarding the information that the victim was 2 months pregnant, it turned out to be just a suspect accusation. When investigators checked through the post-mortem, the victim did not contain what the suspect had accused him of.

"It is confirmed that the victim was not pregnant from the results of the examination. Initially, the suspect accused the victim of being 2 months pregnant, which was allegedly committed by another man," he said.

As is known, the East Jakarta Metro Police managed to uncover the motive for the murder carried out by an employee of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) named Andika Ahid Widianto (26) against his wife at a rented house in a narrow alley, Jalan Asoka, Pulogebang District, East Jakarta.

"The motive is jealousy. The suspect accuses the victim of having an affair with other people," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to reporters, Tuesday, July 2.

Suspect Andika has been married to a victim named Rizki Nur Arifahmawati (27) since two years ago. From that marriage, the married couple have one daughter.

"The victim and the suspect husband and wife are legal. They live with an 8-month-old girl," he said.

Meanwhile, before the murder took place, suspect Andika accused the victim of having an affair with another man. However, the suspect could not prove the accusation.
