JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated tens of billions of rupiah belonging to the former Regent of Langkat Terbit Rencana Perangingin on June 25. Both are now charged with alleged gratification and conflict of interest in the procurement of goods and services in Langkat Regency. "The amount of money is IDR 22 billion," he said. Tessa said the confiscated money was kept in a regional bank in the name of Terbit. He said the account had also been blocked since 2022. “ To note that the case is a development of an investigation into alleged corruption which began with the arrest of the suspect in January 2022, ” explained the spokesman with the investigator's background. As previously reported, the Terbit of the Warinangin Plan has been sentenced to 9 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 300 million, subsidiary to 5 months in prison in the bribery case of the Langkat Regency Government project. This decision was handed down by the Jakarta Corruption Court Panel of Judges on October 19, 2022. In addition to imposing a criminal sentence of the body and fines, the Corruption Court sentenced him to an additional sentence in the form of revocation of his political rights to be elected as a public official for five years.

Iskandar, who is Terbit's older brother, has also been sentenced to the same case. The difference is, he was sentenced to 7 years in prison and six months in prison and a fine of Rp. 300 million, subsidiary to 5 months in prison.
