Bobby Nasution Cleans Up The City Of Medan From Garbage, And Patching Potholes

MEDAN - Not even one month serving as Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution is gradually realizing his promise. Flood management programs, garbage, and clearing potholes were priorities at the beginning of Bobby Nasution's tenure with Aulia Rachman.

The trench normalization program was boosted. The proof is that a number of sub-districts in the city of Medan simultaneously cleaned their waterways, Wednesday, March 17. Cleaning up garbage was held by officers at Medan Deli, Medan Denai, Medan Maimun, Medan Marelan, Sunggal Village, Sei Putih Tengah Village.

Mutual workers clean up rubbish in ditches/drains to the streets. In Medan Denai, heavy equipment has been deployed to dredge trash from a ditch on Jalan Menteng Raya/Perisai Bumi.

Normalization was also carried out at Jalan Ahmad Yani VII, Kesawan, West Medan. Officers in yellow clothes clean the trash from the ditch by setting up a garbage collection truck. The same work was carried out at Gg Mesjid, Sei Sikambing CII, Medan Helvetia.

Then what about the potholes? Medan Public Works Agency officers patched Jalan Banjarmasin, Medan Kota District on Wednesday, March 17th. The officers also re-paved the potholed road on Jalan Perjuangan, Medan Perjuangan sub-district

Recalling Bobby's Promise

Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution and Deputy Mayor Aulia Rachman, before being inaugurated, promised to fix bureaucratic affairs and clean the city.

"For 100 working days, there really isn't that much. We will focus on the work in the future, such as cleanliness, which is not only garbage but clean drainage in Medan", said Bobby Nasution Thursday, February 18.

Bobby often echoed promises to fix Medan during the 2020 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada). There is a Medan Bercabang program, an acronym for clean, beautiful, no holes (bersih, cantik, tak ada lubang).

Medan Bercabang is one of the priority programs for reforming the city of Medan. Clean because of integrated waste management, beautiful because of the many green open spaces (RTH). Including there are no holes because road infrastructure development is in accordance with standards.

"Lots of trash, dirty, potholes everywhere". I always hear that sentence when picking up the aspirations of residents from various sub-districts in Medan City. Complaints from residents about these problems are in line with my commitment and Aulia Rachman in the program to fix the city of Medan.
