As A Result Of Leaking Gas Cylinders, 6 Kiosks In Kampung Rambutan Were Devoured By Fire

JAKARTA - A total of 6 kiosks located on Jalan Manunggal 2, RT 04/04, behind Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Rambutan Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, were burned to the ground, Tuesday, July 2 at around 11.00 WIB.

"Currently, the fire has been extinguished. The object caught fire by warteg and other grocery kiosks. It is estimated that material losses reached Rp. 100 million," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, to reporters.

As a result of the fire that occurred, 6 kiosks were burned. The burned area is about 60 square meters.

"The cause of the fire was triggered by a gas cylinder leak. The incident occurred when the warteg owner was cooking and there was an ignition at the kiosk," he said.

The fire began to be extinguished at around 11.58 WIB. The fire was successfully extinguished by 13 cars with 65 personnel.

"The current situation has completely extinguished, the blackout operation is complete," he said.
