Residents' Settlements In Jatinegara Are Submerged Again By Floods Today

Residents' settlements on Jalan Kebon Pala II, RW 04 and 05, Kampung Melayu Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta were flooded on Tuesday, July 2.

According to DKI Jakarta BPBD officers, the water began to inundate the area at around 06.00 WIB.

"At 08.00 WIB, Kebon Pala II Street in RT 12/04 and RT 13/04 was inundated as high as 40 cm," he wrote in the statement.

Meanwhile, in RT 10/05 and RT 11/05, there is a flood inundation as high as 40 cm.

"Then at 10.00 WIB, the flood on Jalan Kebon Pala II was Rt 12/04 and RT 13/04 was increasing. The height was up to 75 cm.

Meanwhile, in RT 10/05 and RT 11/05, the inundation is also getting higher by about 75 cm.

"Previously at 01.00 WIB, the Depok monitoring post had increased its status to alert 3," he said.

Although many residents' houses have been flooded, no one has fled. Residents still survive in their respective homes.
