TANGERANG The results of a house raid in Parung Serab, Ciledug, Tangerang City, Polda Metro Jaya arrested two men with the initials R (29) and A (19), who were suspected of being couriers of methamphetamine. One of the two who were arrested was a recidivist of the same case, drugs.

"Both of them acted as couriers. R is a recidivist, because he just got out of prison in January 2024," said Director of Drug Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Brigadier General Pol Hengki, to reporters at the location, Monday, July 1.

Hengki revealed that the tens of kilos of crystal methamphetamine packaged in green Chinese tea was stored in the map house. They locked the door so that no one else could see it.

Interestingly, according to Hengki, the smuggling of methamphetamine from China was carried out to coincide with the celebration of the 78th Bhayangkara Anniversary, at Monas, Central Jakarta.

"The syndicates on the 78th Bhayangkara Day are busy celebrating, but this syndicate if we see them taking advantage of the moment. The syndicate is moving to circulate drugs suspected of being methamphetamine," he said.

Currently, both of them are being taken to Polda Metro Jaya. The goal is for further action.
