Lutfi revealed that the perpetrator with the initials R was arrested on June 30, 2024 on Jalan Pajajaran based on the results of cyber patrols. R has been promoting online gambling sites since 2023, with a profit of IDR 2.5 million per month.

"From R's confession, he was contacted directly by an online site via Instagram named @Indonesiaviral. Currently, we are also investigating the Instagram account to check the whereabouts of the admin for us to make efforts to arrest him," he explained.

Lutfi said R, who also works in a restaurant, promotes online gambling sites because of economic motives. Among other things, to pay monthly boarding fees.
