Ahead Of The Eviction Deadline In UIII Land, The DPR Asks The Ministry Of Religion To Give The Best Solution For HKI Juanda

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the MPR as well as member of Commission VIII DPR Yandri Susanto asked the Ministry of Religion to sit down together and invite all parties to find the best solution for the problem of the HKI Juanda Church which is threatened with being evicted because it stands on land at the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII) in Depok, West Java.

According to Yandri, the Ministry of Religion needs to bridge the HKI Juanda Church with the UIII rectorate. Moreover, the deadline or deadline for land eviction is only less than two days.

Previously, both parties had even been advocated by PGI and Gusdurian so that the Ministry of Religion could respond to the issue.

"Yes, it is necessary for someone to bridge so that it is not crowded, there are not many misunderstandings, not fried on social media, in public media. The problem is indeed UIII's right, but this is a national issue that we need to develop and maintain," Yandri told reporters at the PAN DPP office, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 27.

The member of the religious commission also suggested that the Ministry of Religion immediately provide a solution so that the problems of the HKI Juanda and UIII Churches can be resolved properly. Moreover, Yandri considered, this issue is sensitive because it could cause misunderstandings between parties.

"My advice is to sit down together, so as not to make a fuss, so that I don't say what I said earlier, processed on social media or parties who may not be happy with this nation is intact. I think it is very important, very sensitive if it is forced," said Yandri.

Yandri asked the Director General of Islamic Guidance and the Director General of Christian Guidance to be proactive in responding to the problem so that there would be a meeting point immediately. For example, it helps directly monitor the building of the HKI Juanda Church which stands on the land of the UIII campus.

"Yes, my advice is because the Director General of Islamic Guidance, the Director General of Christian Guidance, the Director General of Catholic Guidance, try to deepen it, trace the problem so that there is a common ground. So don't use the main points, it will be crowded later. We suggest that, yes, the Ministry of Religion," said Yandri.

"Because in the Ministry of Religion, there are Bimas per (religion), all Guidance exist, and maybe the most appropriate to go to the field, knit all these problems so that there is the best solution," added the Deputy PAN.
