Witness Calls Kudus KONI Ad Budget Report Rp300 Million Troubled Due To Fictitious Accountability

SEMARANG - Head of the Media and Public Relations Division of KONI Kudus Regency, Sunarto, said that the allocation of the budget for advertising for the parent sports organization's news, which reached Rp. 300 million in 2022, was problematic due to a fictitious accountability report. "I know when BPK clarified about LPJ which is worth Rp. 300 million," said Sunarto when he was a witness in the alleged bribery case of the Chairman of the Kudus Regency KONI, Imam Triyanto, at the Semarang Corruption Court, Antara, Wednesday, June 26. In fact, in 2022, he said, the Media and Public Relations Sector will not receive a budget allocation at all. He explained that during the budget proposal, the Media and Public Relations Division proposed an allocation of IDR 50 million for the procurement of work support equipment. However, he continued, the field he leads has never obtained the proposed budget allocation. Meanwhile, the trial revealed the publication budget allocation for one of the mass media in Kudus Regency, namely PT Centini Mahatma Putra. Director of PT Centini Mahatma Putra, Sutrisno, who was examined as an online witness, admitted that he had submitted a proposal for an activity in the form of publication through television media to the defendant Imam Triyanto. Upon the submission, he continued, the defendant approved the publication of the news via Centini TV with a value of Rp. 300 million. However, according to him, until this case was brought to court, the defendant stone paid Rp. 35 million from the initial agreement. Meanwhile, the advertisement for publication of KoNI activities in Kudus Regency has been installed quite a lot. In addition, he also admitted that the defendant was asked to make an accountability report even though he had not received the payment of the money as promised. The accountability report, according to him, later became the findings of the BPK.

Previously, the former chairman of the Kudus Regency KONI, Imam Triyanto, was tried on suspicion of corruption in grant funds for the parent organization of these sports branches to cost the state Rp2.3 billion for the 2021, 2022, and 2023 budgets.
