Jokowi And Prabowo Effects Called Still Strong In The 2024 Pilkada

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP Democrat Party Herman Khaeron confirmed that Prabowo's effect and Jokowi's effect were still very strong in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada. According to Herman, the figures of Prabowo Subianto and Joko Widodo will have an electoral effect on the pair of regional heads who are supported by both.

"Therefore, if asked if there are (Prabowo effects), there must be. Mr. Jokowi, is there still an effect? There must still be," said Herman at the DPR building, parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 25.

Herman explained the reason why Prabowo's effect would strengthen in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada, especially in strategic areas, such as in Java and North Sumatra. According to him, Prabowo, who is currently still serving as minister of defense, has good international communication and can defend Palestine well.

"(Prabowo) is also consistent with what is the flagship program when delivered during the campaign time, such as free nutritious meals, it remains the main program and has been proposed to be included in the 2025 budget," said Herman.

Herman assessed that this shows Prabowo and his team's seriousness in realizing superior programs immediately. According to him, this positive step has an effect on regional elections.

"The public looks at Pak Prabowo's seriousness and how positive steps have been taken by Pak Prabowo, this will be Prabowo's effect in the regional elections," he said.

Apart from Prabowo's effect, said Herman, Jokowi's effect is also still strong in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada. Moreover, he said, the level of satisfaction with Jokowi's performance was at 75%.

"Mr. Jokowi, is there still an effect? There must still be, because satisfaction with Pak Jokowi is now high, above 70%. So that it is still there, Pak Jokowi is still strong in the effect of the election," concluded Herman.
