Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto said the government was still improving and exploring problems related to disturbances in the National Data Center (PDN) system managed by the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo).

"That is indeed a very technical problem. It is still being fixed and investigated," said Hadi when met after the 2024 Bhayangkara Week Walk event in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 22.

He said that equipment must have weaknesses. Therefore, the government also anticipates that disturbances do not occur again and government and community data are protected.

"Usually, right, if there are equipment, there must be weaknesses. That's what we need to anticipate. Hopefully it doesn't happen again. We will continue to explore it," he said.

It is known, there was a disruption to the National Data Center which had an impact on several public services. One of the services affected is immigration.

The Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Silmy Karim, said that his party was trying to restore services as soon as possible due to system disruptions to PDN.

"We are working on recovering the application and data by utilizing the PDN backup data in Batam and we are trying to get the service recovered as soon as possible," Silmy said on Thursday (20/6).

He said immigration services at the immigration office, passport service units, immigration work units, and immigration checkpoints at airports and ports temporarily experienced problems due to disturbances to the PDN.

However, Silmy ensured that people who are at international airports and will make flights will still be served by immigration officers.

He also appealed to people who travel internationally to arrive early in anticipation of queues at the immigration counter.

"Come earlier to anticipate the longer queues at the immigration counter. It is recommended three hours before the flight schedule," he said.
