1,516 Police Personnel Secure Third Cagub-Cawagub Debate

A total of 1,516 joint personnel were deployed to secure the debate between the three Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said security was comprehensively carried out to ensure the smooth running of all stages of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

"A total of 1,516 personnel were deployed," said Ade in his statement, Saturday, November 16.

The security of the cagub-cawagub debate activity is said to be part of the 2024 Mantap Praja Jaya Operation.

In addition, Polda Metro Jaya also continues to coordinate with the TNI and relevant stakeholders to create effective synergies.

"Do effective communication to all parties so that every development of the situation can be responded to quickly and appropriately. This is important to maintain security stability and have a positive impact on democracy in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya," he said.

Not to forget, the public is also advised to maintain order and security during the campaign and stages of the Pilkada.

"We urge the public to support the smooth running of this activity by complying with the rules, maintaining order, and respecting differences in political choices. That way, the debate between Cagub and Cawagub can run safely, orderly, and peacefully," said Ade.

The third debate for Jakarta cagub-cawagub will be held at the Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Sunday, November 17

The theme of debate is urban environment and climate change. Meanwhile, the sub-person is about, flood management; settlement arrangement; reduction in emissions and air pollution as well as renewable energy transition; waste management; availability of clean water; habitable cities and structuring green open spaces.
