Police Arrest Teacher Of Gaji Who Killed His Wife In Lombok

The Buru Sergap (Buser) Team of the East Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) arrested a Koran teacher with the initials An (27) who was the perpetrator of his wife's murder, at his hiding place in Semabu Village, Sikur District.

Head of Public Relations of the East Lombok Police, Iptu Nicolas Oesman, confirmed that the perpetrator of the murder of his wife who fled after the execution of the victim had been arrested at his hiding place.

"The perpetrator was arrested at his hiding place at his stepmother's house, which lives in Semaya Village, Sikur District," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 21.

The arrest of this perpetrator was carried out in less than 24 hours and the perpetrator was immediately in the midfielder to the Police detention cell for further legal proceedings.

"We still don't know the motive for the murder, because the perpetrator is currently undergoing investigation," he said.

Previously, the perpetrator who was also an honorary employee at one of the Government Agencies in East Lombok had the heart to kill his wife Lis (25) at his father-in-law's house in Ketangga Village, Selong District.

The incident was first discovered by the victim's mother on Thursday (20/6) at around 18.00 WITA, when she opened the door of the victim's room. The victim's mother was shocked to see the victim's condition covered in blood. Moreover, the victim's mother saw a machete allegedly used by the alleged perpetrator to kill the victim next to the victim.

Seeing that her child was dead and covered in blood, the victim's mother screamed for help and heard the screams, the neighbors came to the scene.

Police officers together with the East Lombok Police Inafis immediately went to the TKP, including securing a sword used to kill the victim.

"The victim's body was evacuated and taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for a post-mortem," he said.
