JAKARTA - The case of making counterfeit money worth Rp22 billion in the Kembangan area, West Jakarta, is still being investigated. Temporary results revealed that the counterfeit money was sold for a quarter of the actual value of the money.

"The money will also be sold to customers with a value of 1 to 4, meaning that if it makes Rp. 20 billion, he will get Rp. 5 billion from the customer," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi in his statement, Thursday, June 20.

From the results of the deepening, it is also known that the counterfeit money worth Rp22 billion is planned to be circulated manually. However, it was not conveyed in detail in the context of the intended manual circulation.

"The information for this order is to be circulated manually," he said.

So far, it has only been confirmed that tens of billions of counterfeit money have not been circulated. This is because the police first arrested the perpetrators.

"We should be grateful that this case has been revealed, we did not have time to spread to the community," said Ade.

In this case, three suspects were arrested. They have the initials M, YA and FF.

All three are subject to Articles 244 and 245 of the Criminal Code. They face a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.
