Head of the Administration Section of the TNBTS Center, Septi Eka Wardhani, said that the fire in the national park area was successfully extinguished at around 11.00 WIB.

Septi explained that the forest and land fires actually occurred in the area around Puncak Lempitan, with a position to the east south of Puncak Lamen, PTN Resort, Gunung Penanjakan Region, in the Pasuruan Regency area.
According to him, although the fire has been successfully extinguished, currently officers are still carrying out the cooling process at the location of the burning area using a jet shooter to ensure that there is no fire or coal left.
