West Java Prosecutor's Office Examines Files For Murder Of Vina Cirebon For 2 Weeks

The West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) will examine the case files for the main suspects, Pegi Setiawan (PS) for the murder of Vina and Muhammad Rizky or Eky in Cirebon for two weeks. Head of the Legal Information Section of the West Java Prosecutor's Office, Nur Sricahyawijaya, said that his party had received case files from investigators from the West Java Regional Police's Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) for research. "The West Java Prosecutor's Office has just received the first stage file in the name of the suspect PS. After receiving the file, the prosecutor will conduct a 14-day case file study according to the Criminal Code, and within seven days the prosecutor will give a stance on the case file sent earlier," said Nur in Bandung, Antara, Thursday, June 20. Nur explained that in this case there were six public prosecutors who would conduct research on files transferred by West Java Police investigators. "According to the notification, the prosecutor who handled the six people. There was no addition, the prosecutor who handled it was appropriate," he said. After the research is carried out, he said, the public prosecutor will determine whether the file is complete or must be completed by investigators from the West Java Police Ditreskrimum. According to him, if the documents received by the public prosecutor are still incomplete, the P18 code will be given and the file will be returned to the police investigator to be completed. Meanwhile, if the file examination is complete, the public prosecutor will provide a P21 case code. "If the opinion of the investigating prosecutor is incomplete, it will be notified to fellow investigators. If it is complete, we will issue P21 and will receive the suspect and evidence," said Nur.

He emphasized that the process of examining this file would be carried out professionally and convincingly that the case would be disclosed transparently. “ The prosecutor who handles it must be professional and have good integrity," he said.
