JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again summoned the staff of the PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, Kusnadi regarding the Harun Masiku case, who is still at large. He was asked to fulfill the summons today, Wednesday, June 19.

"Wednesday is the schedule for the summons," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika when confirmed via text message, Wednesday, June 19.

Tessa said that only Kusnadi was being investigated. Meanwhile, Hasto was not asked to attend by investigators.

"That's right (the examination is only for Kusnadi, ed)," he said.

Kusnadi was previously scheduled to be questioned by the anti-corruption commission on Thursday, June 13. It's just that he asked for a postponement due to trauma after investigators claimed to have shouted at him and confiscated Hasto's belongings.

This incident occurred when he went to the KPK's Red and White Building when Hasto was questioned on Monday, June 10. As a result of this incident, Hasto's camp then reported Kompol Rossa Purbo Bekti's investigators to the KPK Supervisory Board.

Not only that, but the report was also made to Komnas HAM and even to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. Hasto's camp assessed that Kusnadi was not a related party in the Harun Masiku case, not called as a witness.

For this case, the KPK had previously examined Hasto as a witness, Monday, June 10. Hasto conveyed that his examination by the KPK investigating team had not touched the subject matter of the case. Even so, he revealed about the cellphone that was confiscated during the examination moment this time.

"Because in the midst of that, my staff, whose name is Kusnadi, was summoned, he said to meet me, but then his bag and cellphone were confiscated on my behalf," said Hasto after an examination at the KPK's Red and White House, Jakarta, last Monday.

Hasto revealed that there had been a debate following the confiscation. He added that the agenda for the examination was agreed to continue at another time.

"So then we argued, because to my knowledge as a witness in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), I have the right to be accompanied by legal advisors. Finally, I decided that the examination would be continued on another occasion," said Hasto.

As for Hasto, he also expressed his objection to the confiscation of cellphones by the KPK.

"There was a cellphone that was confiscated, I object to the confiscation of the cellphone because everything must be based in accordance with the criminal procedural law, because this is already a pro justitia form, so the right to be accompanied by legal advisors should be fulfilled by those who enforce the law," said Hasto.
