Ahead Of The DKI Gubernatorial Election, South Jakarta Bawaslu Strengthens Supervision Capacity

Ahead of the election of the Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, the General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of South Jakarta Administrative City strengthened the control capacity of the election supervisory committee (panwaslu).

"This activity gathers staff to have the same knowledge because it will accompany panwascam friends to carry out surveillance," said South Jakarta Bawaslu Violation Handling Division Coordinator Lensi Anah in Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 15.

Lensi conveyed this after the activity of providing materials to strengthen the capacity of Panwaslu, District throughout South Jakarta.

In addition to providing guidance, the staff also provide administrative-related facilities to financial reports for panwascam.

"This activity is a form of our seriousness in preparing human resources that are ready to oversee the gubernatorial election according to regulations," he said.

It is hoped that the results of this activity of the participants will understand the mechanisms and regulations so that they are able to prevent and handle violations in the upcoming gubernatorial election.

He assessed that supervisors who have the authority to be more optimal in anticipating violations during the democratic party.

"If there is an election violation later, they must be ready to handle findings or reports according to existing regulations," he explained.

As many as 30 sub-district supervisory committees (Panwascam) have been inaugurated and are expected to participate in monitoring participation from the community in order to prevent criminal, administrative and code-of-law violations.

The regional elections to elect governors, regents, and mayors will be held simultaneously in all regions on November 27, 2024.
