The Cawagub Exchange, Ridwan Kamil's Companion In The Jakarta Regional Head Election, Gerindra: There Will Be A Surprise

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party recommends former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil (RK) to run as a candidate for governor (cagub) for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. Gerindra will surprise who will accompany Ridwan Kamil in the DKI gubernatorial election.

Deputy Gerindra Habiburokhman, said that currently his party is still discussing the candidate for deputy governor (cawagub) who will be promoted in the Jakarta gubernatorial election with political parties at the Advanced Indonesia Coalition.

"As stated by Mr. Dasco, we propose Mr. RK. For this representative, we are still discussing it with KIM's colleagues (Indonesian Forward Coalition) and other political parties," Habiburokhman told reporters, Friday, June 14.

According to him, there will be a surprise prepared regarding the cawagub accompanying Ridwan Kamil. He also asked all parties to be patient waiting for the discussion process.

"Wait for the game date, there will be a surprise," he said.

Previously, the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that his party had submitted a letter of recommendation to Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"Regarding Kang Emil's position, Gerindra has decided and is given a recommendation to run in the DKI Regional Head Election," said Dasco at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 12.

Dasco also ensured that Gerindra's decision to support Ridwan Kamil was no different from Golkar's attitude.

"I don't think it's different, but it will definitely be the same, that Ridwan Kamil will be recommended to advance in DKI Jakarta," he said.

Regarding the figure of the cawagub, the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives said that it was possible that Ridwan Kamil would be duetted with Gerindra cadres.

"Ya kira-kira itu, begitu," ungkap Dasco.
