JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan has received support from the DKI Jakarta National Awakening Party (PKB) to be promoted as a candidate for the Governor of DKI Jakarta. Anies hopes that other political parties can join forces to support him. "This mandate is a target mandate but God willing, it is not a heavy mandate and the journey must be passed together. This is because PKB must look for a coalition of political parties that can meet the nomination threshold for the number of DPRD seats, namely at least 22 seats in Jakarta for the 2024 Legislative Election. Meanwhile, the PKB seat acquisition in the 2024 DPRD legislative election is only 10 seats. "Right now, we are thinking about how to make PKB not alone, but together with other parties because it can't be alone, right?" said Anies. On the one hand, Anies Anies admitted that a number of provincial-level party officials other than PKB had visited him to discuss opportunities for investigation, including PKS, PDIP, and the NasDem Party. However, only PKB DKI Jakarta has officially announced its support for Anies. The former governor of DKI Jakarta hopes that other parties will immediately carry it so that the coalition can form before the nomination period to the KPU. On Wednesday, June 12, DKI Jakarta PKB DPW announced its support for Anies to be promoted as the governor of DKI Jakarta. This was revealed by the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PKB DPW, Hasbiallah Ilyas after reading the declaration of support for the former Governor of DKI Jakarta. "We will give it to Mr. Anies Baswedan to work downstairs, go down to the community to socialize that he is nominating the governor from PKB," Hasbi said, Wednesday, June 12. Hasbi believes that the general chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar, is one of the ranks of the PKB Central Leadership Council (DPP) to approve the proposal.

"God willing, PKB, from the DPP to solid branches. God willing, our party, which strongly upholds democracy and dpp, always follows the aspirations of the bottom. What is important is for the benefit of the community," he said. Hasbi also emphasized that the decision to support Anies will not change until the registration period for the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor to the General Elections Commission (KPU).
