JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party has stated that it will fight for the former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil to run in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. Gerindra will try to do this by lobbying the Golkar Party. It is known that the Golkar Party gave a signal that it would again carry Ridwan Kamil as a candidate for governor of West Java. Although the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil has two recommendation letters to run both in the West Java Pilkada and the Jakarta Pilkada. Deputy Gerindra, Habiburokhman believes Ridwan Kamil has a desire to compete in Jakarta. According to him, the Golkar politician is also more suitable to lead Jakarta. "Mr. RK seems to want to be in Jakarta, he has spoken several times that he will go to Jakarta. We think it is better for RK to go to Jakarta," said Habiburokhman at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 13. Gerindra, continued Habiburokhman, will communicate intensively with the Golkar Party to release Ridwan Kamil to fight in the Jakarta Pilkada. According to him, so far there has been no problem between Gerindra and Golkar regarding the cagub Jakarta and West Java. "Later, communication between political parties will be carried out between Golkar and Gerindra, there will be no problems," he said. The deputy chairman of Commission III of the DPR emphasized that his party will seek Ridwan Kamil to be promoted as the deputy governor of Jakarta 2024.
