JAKARTA - Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa emphasized that the Nusantara capital (IKN) project will continue.
"Yes, it will continue," said Suharso at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta Thursday, June 13.
Regarding the budget, Suharso explained that currently only domestic investment is needed for phase I development, namely the Government Central Core Area (KIPP). Meanwhile, foreign investors will enter phase II development.
"IKN is in nature there are the next stages, yes, we are still open for investment. We are opening foreign domestics," he said.
Regarding the Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia who said that no investment had yet been entered, Suharso denied it. According to him, there have been many domestic investments that have joined.
"No, there are already a lot of domestic ones. Now it's foreign, they're waiting and see, if the domestic has entered, hopefully for other areas, right, which is to the west, we'll open it to anyone," he explained.
