PKB Lirik Kaesang Becomes A Cawagub Pair Anies, PKS-PDIP Is Considered Not To Want To Join The Coalition

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta National Awakening Party (PKB) opens the option to pair PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep as a candidate for Deputy Governor of DKI, in pairs with Anies Baswedan.

Anies has now been supported by the DKI Jakarta PKB Regional Leadership Council (DPW) as a candidate for the Governor of DKI in the 2024 Pilkada.

A political observer from Al-Azhar University, Ujang Komarudin, assessed that this was difficult to materialize.

There are 2 political parties (political parties) that have glanced at Anies to be promoted in the DKI gubernatorial election, namely PDIP and PKS. Then, if PKB suspects Kaesang to become an Anies cawagub, both parties are predicted not to agree.

"If Kaesang advances to be supported by PKB, PDIP and PKS will not want to support it. PDIP will definitely carry its cadres. PKS also supports its cadres to become Anies' deputy governor," Ujang told reporters, Thursday, June 13.

Therefore, according to Ujang, the constellation of candidacy including who Anies will be in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada this year is still very dynamic.

This is because PKB must look for a coalition of political parties that can meet the nomination threshold of the number of DPRD seats, namely at least 22 seats in Jakarta for the 2024 Legislative Election.

Meanwhile, the acquisition of 10 seats for PKB in the 2024 DKI DPRD legislative election for 10 seats and 8 seats for PSI is not enough to carry the cagub-cawagub pair.

"In that context, of course everything is still dynamic. We will see later who will accompany Anies," explained Ujang.

Chairman of the DPW PKB Jakarta Hasbiallah Ilyas admitted that his party had established communication with PSI regarding coalition opportunities in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

"There is already a coalition, which has been discussed, the point is that there is currently communication with PSI," said Hasbi at the DPW PKB Jakarta Office, East Jakarta, Wednesday, June 12.

Thus, Hasbi opened the opportunity to pair Anies with PSI Chairman who is also the youngest son of President Joko Widodo, Kaesang Pangarep.

"We are open to anyone's deputy governor, including Mas Kaesang. We are willing if Mas Kaesang really wants to nominate the Deputy Governor of DKI," said Hasbi.
