Check Accounts, KJP Phase I 2024 Finally Disbursed Starting Today

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Education Office has finally begun to gradually melting the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Education social assistance phase I. Today, the disbursement is being carried out for KJP May and June 2024.

Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office, Budi Awaluddin, explained that the first batch of KJP Phase I will be distributed to 460,143 recipient students.

"We apologize for the delay in disbursing the KJP in DKI Jakarta, because we must ensure that the budget for social assistance in the education sector can be accepted by people who need it and are right on target," Budi said in his statement, Thursday, June 13.

Ssmenara, at the second phase of the KJP Plus, the DKI Provincial Government will still re-verify 130,101 prospective recipients to ensure that these residents are from underprivileged groups.

Re-verification is carried out directly in the field by involving various relevant stakeholders such as the Department of Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP), Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), as well as the Social Service (Dinsos) of DKI Jakarta Province. The procurement and re-verification ensure that the domicile of recipients must be in DKI Jakarta; do not have four-wheeled vehicles and property assets above Rp1 billion; as well as recipients in family cards do not have the status of civil servants, TNI/Polri, members of the MPR RI/DPR RI/DPD RI/Regency/City DPRD, permanent employees of BUMN/BUMD.

"The verification will take about a month to determine the recipient of stage I in the second wave. Hopefully it can be disbursed in the following month," explained Budi.

Budi hopes that through government assistance funds in the education sector, the community can make good use of it for children's school needs.

"We will continue to oversee the quality education sector towards Indonesia Gold 2045. Therefore, we advise parents to continue to provide education to their children, so that they are wise in using KJP for school purposes," concluded Budi.

KJP Plus is given in order to provide 12-year compulsory access to school-age students aged 6-21 years who come from underprivileged families.

The amount of money education assistance funds is disbursed to SD/MI amounting to Rp250 thousand per month, SMP Rp300 thousand, SMA Rp420 thousand, SMK Rp450 thousand and Center for Community Learning Activities amounting to Rp300 thousand.
