Hospitals And Ambulances In Gaza Are Threatened To Stop Operating Due To Lack Of Fuel

JAKARTA - Medical sources in the Gaza Strip, Palestine warned on Wednesday, hospitals, health centers and the only oxygen station in Gaza were threatened with discontinued operations due to fuel shortages.

It said the condition was caused by Israeli aggression in the Palestinian enclave, as well as full control and closure of all border crossings.

"If the operation is stopped, it will endanger dozens of people who are sick and injured," said a medical source.

The statement noted that medicines stored in the refrigerator would be damaged due to a lack of diesel fuel to operate oxygen station generators and refrigerators.

Medical sources appeal to all relevant international and humanitarian organizations to step in immediately to get the necessary fuels, as well as power generators and spare parts for maintenance.

In addition, fuel shortages also cause services to be analyzed at the Governor of Gaza so that ambulance services are also threatened with discontinued operations.

Separately, Gaza's health authorities announced on Wednesday that at least 38 people were killed and 100 others injured as a result of Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours.

That left the death toll of Palestinians as a result of Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, reaching 37,202 people and 84,932 others injured.

In addition, at least 10,000 people have not been found, thought to have died under the ruins throughout the Gaza Strip. Palestinian and international organizations say most of the dead and injured were women and children.
