SYL Asks Judges To Present Boss Of 'Rider' Underwear Hanan Supangkat As Witness

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL asked the panel of judges to present the boss of the underwear company Rider Hanan Supangkat as a witness in the trial of the alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

The request to present Hanan Supangkat was conveyed by SYL's legal adviser, Djamaludin Koedoeboen. At that time, he asked the panel of judges for permission to present another witness.

"Your Majesty, ask for permission, there are a few additional things. Regarding what was conveyed earlier, there was one witness who in our opinion, in giving information in March it was also related to Pak Syahrul Yasin Limpo. His name was Hanan Supangkat. Please be pleased through his honor, if possible, asking the assembly to present Hanan Supangkat," said Koedoeboen during a trial at the Corruption Court in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 12.

Chief Judge Rianto Adam Pontoh responded to the request by questioning whether the witness in question had been examined in court.

Koedoeboen agreed to this and said Hanan Supangkat had been questioned last March.

Meanwhile, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) who was also asked for his opinion stated that Hanan Supangkat was not a witness who was included in the Investigation Report (BAP) of a corruption case but a money laundering crime or money laundering crime.

"Indeed, we received information in the media that we heard from the media, had been in the BAP but at the TPPU. So if you want it to be presented, please present it by legal advisors," said the prosecutor.

Hearing this explanation, Judge Rianto Pontoh also invited the SYL camp if they wanted to present the witness in question.

"Because this is your right to file a mitigating witness, if you consider it important to present Hanan Supangkat, please bring it to the trial, we will examine it," said Hakin Rianto.
