"We don't want conflict of interest to occur (conflict of interest, ed.) when later he takes office using his facilities as Acting, but then harms the other party. Therefore, in mid-July for those we know he will launch, yes, we will replace it," he explained.
The Minister of Home Affairs said that he had issued a Circular (SE) of the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the resignation of the Acting regional head who would run in the Pilkada. The SE, he said, regulates the deadline for the resignation of a regional head.
"Those who want to be nominated for 40 days before the registration period, August 27, have to resign," he said.
According to him, this time limit is needed because replacing a regional head requires time and a process that is not short.
