Gerindra Has Not Yet Decided Sudaryono To Become A Central Java Cagub

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto said his party had not yet decided the Chairman of the Gerindra Party Central Java (Central Java) Gerindra Party (Central Java) Sudaryono as Cagub in the 2024 Central Java Pilkada.

"We are waiting for the time, so that you often come here," Prabowo joked to reporters, smiling at his residence, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 7.

He said that so far, Gerindra has yet to determine the figure he will support in the area.

According to him, his party is still working on the figures to be carried in Central Java, including the opportunity to carry its internal cadre, namely Sudaryono.

However, Prabowo did not explain in detail when his party's recommendations would be issued. However, that name will be announced at the right time.

"There will be time," he said.

Meanwhile, Sudaryono is the General Chair of the Association of Indonesian Market Traders (APPSI) and was Prabowo's personal aide.

Previously, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani said his party already had a number of internal cadres who would be promoted in the 2024 Pilkada.

Muzani said Sudaryono was Gerindra's internal hope to be able to run in the Central Java gubernatorial election (Pilgub).

Nevertheless, he emphasized that this matter would later return to Prabowo's decision as chairman.

"But, regarding the candidates for governor, regent and mayor in Gerindra are at the General Chair, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Pak Prabowo," said Muzani in an official written statement received in Jakarta, Thursday (23/5).

In addition, he also said that there were three names that had been prepared for the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. However, he could not name the three names because later they would be announced by party leaders.

The names, he said, had already been discussed with other parties because the Jakarta gubernatorial election would be more exclusive than other regions.

"Later, all the governor candidates who are determined will meet with Prabowo as the General Chair of the Gerindra Party," he added.
