365 Joint Personnel Deployed To Close Illegal Oil Processing In Muba, South Sumatra

Joint personnel from the South Sumatra Police have ordered the processing of illegal oil at Muba ANTARA/HO/Humas Polda South Sumatra/24.

JAKARTA - A total of 365 joint apparatus personnel have closed the processing of illegal petroleum or illegal refinery in Musi Banyuasin (Muba) Regency, South Sumatra Province (Sumsel).

"This second week of June 2024, we have again participated in a joint operation to close/control oil processing without permission (illegal) in Muba Regency because this activity violates the law, has the potential to endanger the safety of the lives of local residents and cause environmental damage," said the Director of Criminal Investigation at the South Sumatra Police, Kombes Pol Bagus Suropratomo Oktobrianto, in Palembang, South Sumatra, Friday, June 7, confiscated by Antara.

He explained, according to the order of the South Sumatra Police Chief. in controlling activities carried out by means of preemptive, preventive, measurable action and recovery (recovery).

"This control operation prioritizes a persuasive approach so that people who have oil processing sites are willing to dismantle themselves," he said.

According to him, personnel in the field are reminded not to use weapons or firearms eruptions during the targeted operation during the four days.

By approach to people who have oil processing locations, so far the operation to control illegal refinery in the Muba Regency area has been carried out safely and smoothly.

In addition to controlling, personnel in the field also appealed to the public not to carry out illegal refinery because these activities violated the law and were dangerous because quite often an explosion occurred in illegal oil processing sites by causing casualties.

The joint apparatus personnel involved in this activity consisted of Sub-Directorate IV Tipidter Ditreskrimsus Polda Sumsel, Musi Banyuasin Police (Muba), Denpom Muba, Koramil Sungai Lilin, SKK Migas, and the Muba Regency Government agency.
