Pertamina Inspects Business Places Using Subsidized LPG In Bali

DENPASAR - Pertamina Patra Niaga together with local governments in Bali conducted sudden inspections (sidak) in a number of business places using a three-kilogram subsidy Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Denpasar.

"It has been determined regarding the classification of the community or businesses that are entitled to use three kilograms of LPG," said Area Manager Communication, Relations and CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Region of East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Sunday Rahedi in Denpasar, Thursday, June 6.

During the inspection, the joint team visited four locations of restaurants and laundry businesses.

From the results of the examination, the team found one restaurant and laundry using a subsidized LPG purchased from retailers at a price of Rp. 25,000 per tube.

Meanwhile, two other restaurant and laundry businesses have used non-subsidized LPG because one of the speakers has 50 networks spread across a number of areas in Bali.

Currently, the state-owned company in the field of oil and gas has non-subsidized LPG products weighing 5.5 kilograms and 12 kilograms.

The joint team provides education to business actors who use a green mini-sized LPG related to Presidential Regulation Number 104 of 2007 and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 26 of 2009 concerning the provision and distribution of three kilograms of LPG.

There are also businesses that are allowed to use subsidized LPG, only micro-enterprises and not for medium and large-scale businesses.

Sunday said the use of subsidized LPG that was not on target had an impact on the district/city quota that should have been intended for underprivileged household groups and micro-enterprises in the Bali region.

"If you really feel capable or not poor, it is hoped that you will not use three kilograms of LPG which is the right of those who are underprivileged," added Sunday.

On that occasion, the joint team then immediately connected restaurant and pentu business actors who used subsidized LPG with non-PSO LPG agents or non-government assignments near the business location.
