Dumai Police Arrest Man Selling Porn Video 'Bocil Premium' Via Telegram

The Dumai Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a young man with the initials JP alias JC (21), a resident of Bukit Kayu Kapur Village, Bukit Kapur District, for a pornography case by trading pornographic videos using a Telegram account.

"This suspect manages, provides and sells video content containing immorality or pornography through three Telegram accounts with 20 channels or groups," said Dumai Police Chief AKBP Dhovan Oktavianton, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 5.

JP was arrested by officers while on Jalan Teratai, Dumai Village, Dumai City District, Friday (31/5). The case is subject to allegations of intentional crime and without the right to distribute, transmit and/or electronic documents that have contents that violate immorality or trade and provide pornography.

The perpetrator sells paid packages with a premium 'bocil' package for Rp. 100,000 for 2 groups. Then the VIP package of Rp. 125 thousand for 3 groups and the VVIP package of Rp. 175 thousand for 10 groups with a payment system is carried out through a digital wallet.

The beginning of the disclosure of this case was when cyber patrols found out that there was pornographic activity on social media. Then on Friday (31/5) at around 21.30 WIB, the whereabouts of the perpetrators of JP were detected.

Together with the suspect, the police also secured a number of evidences in the form of two smart cell phones containing video recordings containing immorality or pornography, 1 ATM card and three telegram accounts.

Then, the memory card allegedly contains video recordings containing immorality or pornography, one digital wallet application account and "Sea Bank" as well as and one motorcycle.

The perpetrator JP is known to have carried out the practice of selling this pornographic video for a year and is estimated to have made a profit of IDR 50 million and bought a motorcycle.

"The suspect will be charged with the Law on information and electronic and pornographic transactions with a penalty of six years in prison," said the Police Chief.
