JAKARTA - The pilot of the Susi Air, Captain Ian John Terrence Hellyer, revealed the seconds of the hostage-taking by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) from Papua.

In the 2-hour hostage-taking, he said, the KKB had pointed a firearm and talked about their disappointment with the Special Autonomy (Otsus) fund.

"Two of the dozens of KKBs carried rifles and pointed their weapons at us", said Captain Ian John, Saturday, March 13.

As for the Susi Air hostage incident, the Pilatus PC-6 S1-9364 PK BVY aircraft took place at Wangbe airport, Wangbe District, Puncak Regency, Papua, Friday, March 12 yesterday.

At least 30 KKB were involved in the hostage-taking act. They admit that they are disappointed with the distribution of special autonomy funds.

"KKB conveyed that they were disappointed with the Village Head for not providing the Village Fund and the Special Autonomy Fund", he said.

According to Captain Ian John, he was taken hostage along with three local people. "The three indigenous Papuans are Ricky Dolame, Arikala Dolame, and Arike Wandikbo", he said.

However, after negotiating, it finally ended. The plane flew to the Airport Administration Unit (UPBU) Terminal of Moses Kilangin Timika Airport and landed safely.
