Workers 15-Year-Old Children As Massage Therapists, Women In Semarang Arrested By Police

SEMARANG - Police arrested a woman who manages a massage place in Semarang City, Central Java, with the initials DA (20) on suspicion of employing a minor as a therapist. Kasatreskrim Polrestabes Semarang Kompol Andika Dharma Sena said the police arrested the perpetrator after receiving a report from the parents of the child with the initials HGA (15) who was employed at the massage place. "Based on this information, the victim's parents then reported it to the police," he said in Semarang, Antara, Monday, June 3. In his investigation, he continued, the police found a massage place managed by the suspect DA at an boarding house, Gayamsari, Semarang City. The perpetrator himself admitted that the victim came to work as a therapy at his friend's invitation. When he was about to work, the perpetrator said that the victim, who had only worked for about a month, admitted that she was 19 years old.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
