Jakarta - The Ministry of Health has taken action against three health workers who are suspected of being brokers to obtain the Professional Credit Unit (SKP) needed to extend the Practice Permit (SIP) every five years. The three individuals who will be prosecuted come from Jakarta, Semarang, and Surabaya.
"Nakes who are proven to be SKP brokers will be temporarily revoked by STR and SIP for 12 months. If they are proven to have repeated it twice, STR and SIP will be revoked for life," said Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin in a written statement in Jakarta.
Budi explained that the detection and prosecution of brokering practices is now easier thanks to the improvement of the online-based SKP sustainable learning system. Previously, an unintegrated manual system allowed brokering practices to occur.
This new system has succeeded in tracking the practice of anomalies in the three cities, where the perpetrators disguised themselves as if they were health workers who took part in periodic learning online. They then offer services to get SKP through social media and WhatsApp groups for a certain fee.

To prevent brokering practices, the Ministry of Health will immediately issue surveillance regulations related to SKPs with severe sanctions. In addition to regulations, prevention is also carried out through the system, namely by adding a face recognition verification process to the Healthy Court system, which is expected to be ready in September 2024.
While waiting for the implementation of facial recognition infrastructure, the Ministry of Health team will continue to monitor anomalies in online learning.
