Jokowi Invites Residents Of Kampar Riau Lunch: How To Eat? How Come It's Not Over?

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited a number of local residents to have lunch together after the President performed Friday prayers at the Abdullah bin Abbas Mosque, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, Friday, May 31.

The President greeted the congregation who attended and distributed basic necessities to a number of residents after Friday prayers.

When distributing groceries, the President invited several residents to have lunch together at a restaurant located next to the mosque. Several residents also invited their children.

"How did you eat? How come it didn't run out?" asked President Jokowi while greeting residents after eating, quoted from an official statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Friday, May 31, which was confiscated by Antara.

"Alhamdulillah, it will be wrapped later, sir," said one resident.

The lunch became an interesting experience for some residents, including Sumarni, who felt lucky to have lunch with the Head of State.

"I'm very happy to get greetings from you. God willing, for the best of his father," said Sumarni.

In line with that, another resident, Jafrel, also did not expect to have lunch with the President. He admitted that he was invited to lunch while waiting in line after Friday.

"Thank you very much, hopefully you are always healthy, have a lot of sustenance," he said.

This moment of lunch is a reflection of President Jokowi's commitment to continue to be close to the people and support the values of togetherness and national unity.
