Jokowi Calls The Minister Of PUPR Asking For An Additional Room At Dr. Sobirin Musi Rawas Hospital

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo asked the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono to immediately deploy a team to add rooms at Dr. Sodimandi Hospital, Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra.

The request was submitted by the President to Basuki by telephone on the sidelines of his review of the hospital on Thursday. The President found that the hospital lacked room for patients and medical equipment.

"The Minister of Public Works should immediately deploy his team, where can we help, the land is on the left or right, everything will be assisted from the central government so that health services here are better," said the President as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 30.

According to information, during the review, the President witnessed firsthand the condition of hospitals experiencing patient congestion.

"There were indeed many patients in the hospital, there was a shortage of rooms so we will help build another room so that the number of beds can increase," said President Jokowi.

In addition, the President also highlighted the need for a special room to place new medical devices such as CT scans, cash labs, and amamograms.

"rooms for medical devices that recently need to be prepared. Just this," he continued.

This visit shows the government's commitment to ensuring the quality of health services throughout Indonesia, especially in areas experiencing lack of facilities. The visit also aims to ensure that local health facilities can meet the needs of the community.
