"This TPT can prevent active TB on ODHIV, prevent TB bacteria from sleeping or inactively becoming active TB, reduce the spread of TB, and avoid further complications and treatment when they are sick with tuberculosis," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma to reporters, Wednesday, May 29.
Dhany explained that TPT is a preventive therapy used to prevent TB illness in people who are in contact with TB patients, people with HIV (ODHIV), and other risk groups with negative HIV, health workers, and are given free of charge for three or six months.

Meanwhile, Head of the Central Jakarta City Health Sub-dept., Rismasari, said that this socialization activity lasted for two days which was attended by four sub-districts.
"We have done this activity for 2 days, in Johar Baru and Kemayoran sub-districts. Then today it was followed by Sawah Besar and Senen sub-districts," he said.
Risma also asked the sub-district head, village head, and head of the people's welfare section (Kase kesra) to support the TB free village activity program.
