JAKARTA - A red city transportation (angkot) 03 fell into a water channel on Jalan Tanah Merdeka, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, Wednesday, May 29.

The cause of the angkot falling was allegedly because the driver was drunk with alcohol. In a drunken state, the angkot driver was not aware that some of his cars had fallen into the water channel.

"Suddenly I was just looking at the car there. The driver was drunk (obed)," said Rio, one of the eyewitnesses to the incident.

Luckily, the small waterway only made the front and left of the car that fell into the water channel.

"Angkot 03 route Kampung Rambutan - Cililitan. One passenger managed to get out of the car before the incident," he said.

Because there were no police officers, the residents worked hand in hand to evacuate the car. After successfully evacuating, the owner of the angkot car and the driver immediately left the scene.
