PKB Ensures Eri Cahyadi-Armuji's Recommendation In The 2024 Surabaya Pilkada

SURABAYA - Chairman of the Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the Surabaya City National Awakening Party (PKB) Musyafak Rouf stated that the central leadership council (DPP) recommended Mayor Eri Cahyadi and Deputy Mayor Armuji to advance in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

Restu to Eri-Armuji was determined through the Decree of the Central Executive Board of the National Awakening Party Number 29527/DPP/01/V/2024 which was signed by PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid and Chairman of the Strengthening Sector of Structure, Executive, and Legislative Abdul Halim Iskandar.

"Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabaraktuh, the recommendation from the PKB DPP for the Pilkada to the mayor and deputy mayor has dropped," Musyafak said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 29.

It is known that the video footage was sent by Musyafak who was carrying out the pilgrimage, in Medina City, Saudi Arabia.

Through the video, the Chairperson of the Surabaya City PKB DPC also carried out the celebration of the issuance of recommendations for Eri-Armuji.

"Today I will carry out the celebration, I will buy Briyani rice. God willing, this is the last day in Medina," he said.

Previously, the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) issued 65 recommendations for candidates for regional heads at the district/city level throughout Indonesia, in simultaneous regional head elections (Pilkada) November 2024.

"We have issued 65 recommendations for regents/mayors," said Head of the PKB Pilkada Decree Abdul Halim Iskandar.

He explained that the recommendation was issued after the candidates took part in the competency and propriety test (UKK), which was carried out by the PKB Pilkada Decree.

As of Tuesday (28/5), 2,978 candidates for regional heads throughout Indonesia registered through PKB. Meanwhile, 288 regional head candidates have gone through the UKK stage.

"We have explored their vision and mission and what are the regional problems," said Gus Halim, his nickname.
