Tapera Highlighted Only Becomes A Burden Of Employers, JK Instead Supports Jokowi's Policy

BANGKA - Former Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) stated that the People's Housing Savings Policy (Tapera) helps underprivileged people to own homes at affordable prices.

"The government revives Tapera, so that people have a house," said Jusuf Kalla after speaking at the Ijtima Ulama of the Indonesian Fatwa Commission VIII at the Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Sungailiat Bangka, Bangka Belitung, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 29.

He stated that Tapera is not new, because this has been around for a long time and this policy has been revived by the government, so that new employees who still rent to be able to own their own homes.

"New employees and still signing this house have to save to be able to have their own home," he said.

JK supports this Tapera policy to be revived by the government, so that every community has a home.

"So far, it has been managed properly, cleanly and transparently, of course, we support this Tapera policy," he said.

According to JK, this Tapera contribution is a kind of savings and insurance, so that people who already have a house can take the Tapera contribution.

"This is someone's opportunity. Even though they already have a house, cash can be taken back from the Tapera contributions," he said.
